Michael B. Swartz, PA-C
Mike as worked as a specialist in orthopedic diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation since graduating from the top ranked University of Nebraska interservice physician assistant program in 2000. He performed additional surgical assistant training at the Carle Clinic in Illinois, a regional trauma center. Prior to PA school, Mike worked as a cardiovascular ICU Registered Nurse at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho. He has also received additional training in ATLS, ACLS, PALS, CPR instructor, and Wilderness ALS.
Mike has worked with high end occupational athletes in the Army Special Forces and served for 7 years as a team commander. He helped train the medics in the Iraqi army at the Combat Surgical Hospital in Balad, Iraq.
Mike has treated numerous local athletes throughout Oregon with a focus on gymnasts. Duties at Paragon Orthopedics include orthopedic consultations, diagnosis, prescriptions, joint injections, fracture reduction and management, pre and post operative management. Mike works closely with all of the orthopedic surgeons in the office to maximize your potential for recovery.
